THE JAVA QUARTET
The Java Quartet is a vehicle for Michael’s compositions. The group
has garnered critical acclaim both in Australia and internationally, including
an appearance at the 1997 Montreux Jazz Festival.- [Switzerland] and reviews
in Cadence Magazine (New York) and The Penguin Guide To Jazz. In 2002
Michael received an APRA nomination of "most performed Jazz work"
for his composition "Shadow Dancing", from the Java Quartet’s
fourth album, "Dark Garden". The Java Quartet’s fifth
release, “Deep Blue Sea”, was launched in July 2005 to a very
receptive critical audience (see reviews on web site).

Founding member with Brendan Gallagher and Stuart Eadie. With albums
"Last Stop Heavenly Heights", "Olana", "Into
The land Of Promise", "Happy Birthday Dear Customer", and
"Pacifico" (with a track featuring the vocals of Australian
screen legend Bryan Brown), Karma County have become a mainstay of the
Australian music scene. "Into The land Of Promise" earned the
group an ARIA for Best Adult Contemporary Release, 2000. The group also
performed in Germany, Italy, US, UK and Canada that same year.
PUBLISHING
Michael Galeazzi has deals with Universal Music Australia for writing
with both Karma County and as a solo artist.
